Honoring Everyday People

This exhibit showcases student-created digital portraits celebrating everyday individuals—family members, friends, or community figures—through the distinctive artistic style of Hung Liu.

Students engaged with their subjects through interviews, personal stories, and photographs, transforming these inspirations into expressive, large-scale digital cut-outs. These large works, approximately 30% larger than life, honor the resilience, contributions, and vitality of ordinary people.

By blending personal narratives with artistic interpretation, this project highlights the significance of individuals often overlooked in history, elevating their presence through bold, evocative portraiture.
