Spacecraft

In a world without CGI or high-priced special effects, students in the Friendtorship program created their own DIY movie trailers out of cardboard, duct tape, a green screen and plenty of imagination. Friendtorship is a collaborative mentorship program that brings together students from Centennial Park School and the School of Art + Design, increasing access to design and arts learning for underserved high school students. For this project, that meant paying homage to classic sci-fi flicks, inventing new superheroes and imagining future chapters of the Star Wars saga.

This piece was created collaboration between university students and high and middle school students.
