Digital Imaging & Illustration

Studio course in digital image creation with an emphasis on raster and vector-based illustration. Hybrid illustration techniques of mixing handmade work with digital imagery and photography may also be explored. Basic ways in which form communicates meaning are parsed and explored. This course requires that students furnish a laptop computer that meets the departmental standards for hardware and software. See departmental site for requirements. The ideal sequence for design majors is to take Des 200 and 210 before taking Des 224, 225, 254. Prerequisite: Des 120.
