Greetings map and graphic design lovers!

On behalf of the Portland State University Geospatial Information Society and ASPRS, we would like to cordially invite you to the 2018 Portland Cartography Symposium that will be held on Friday March 2nd in PSU’s Smith Memorial Ballroom. This one day conference will host talented cartographers, artists, and geospatial thinkers from across the Pacific Northwest, covering topics ranging from web, interactive and paper map production, psychogeographies, cartography in support of other branches of science, mapping for the blind, and obscure cartographic art. We will have large map gallery in which anyone interested can submit to, either poster or interactive/web. The registration is FREE! Please register for the map gallery if you intend to show a piece, although everyone that registers is free to view the gallery during the conference. After the conference all are welcome to a social gathering at a nearby pub where we will share results of the days mapping activities, continue any conversations or networking from the day, and share some libations.

Please save the date for the 2018 Portland Cartography Symposium, and visit our website to register to attend!

We are up to 350 attendees, which will be great for networking and inspiration.
Please feel free to post this notification through your communication avenues to create more awareness of the event.

Sincerely,
PSU GIS Club
