There are a number of opportunities to study abroad at Portland State. Similarly Different is a chance to travel with a focus on graphic design. As travel resumes while COVID 19 wanes, we will offer the following for Summer 2022.
Similarly Different: London is a three-week, faculty-led, Summer adventure in design in London, England. Students get a chance to go to museums, visit studios, make work,
and do some sight seeing. The next trip will be in Summer 2022.

The U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity (website). It awards up to $3–5,000 to students. The March 2022 Deadline application will open in mid-January 2022 for applicants whose in-person programs or internships start between May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023.
