BT Livermore was born in Minnesota, and like all Minnesotans, is covered head to toe with a downy layer of fur with which to keep warm during the winter. In 2005, he decided to trade in six months of snow for six months of rain and now lives in beautiful Portland, Oregon. His work is heavy on typography, tongue-in-cheek humor, and with recurrent themes of “kind capitalism.” It has also been described as “a modern take on a drug-crazed, 1930s brain” and “vaudeville awesome.”
In May of 2010, BT graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art with a BFA degree in Illustration; a nice addition to his collection which also includes an AAS degree in Web Design from Minneapolis Community and Technical College from 2003.
He has been screenprinting, and self-publishing comics and art books consistently since 2005. His books include: B is for Beard, The Life & Times of Baby Otto Zeplin, BEARFIGHT, and Fadge. He also co-runs the moustache wax company Man’s Face Stuff.
