****RESCHEDULED FOR SPRING QUARTER. LISA IS SICK (wish her a fast recovery!)****
a little bit about Lisa:
San Francisco illustrator and fine artist Lisa Congdon was born and raised in both upstate New York and Northern California where she grew to love the trees and animals that surrounded her. That love is now expressed most intensely through her paintings and drawings. Lisa spends most of her time making art in her studio in San Francisco with one hand and simultaneously playing fetch with her 10 pound Chihuahua, Wilfredo, with the other. Lisa's work has been shown in numerous cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon. Her illustration clients include Chronicle Books, Random House, Yankee Magazine and Galison Stationery. Her story and work have been featured in countless print magazines and art and design blogs. When she is not making art in her studio, Lisa is at Rare Device, the San Francisco design-led shop and art gallery she owns and operates with her friend Rena Tom. She lives in the Mission District of San Francisco with her partner, her 10 pound chihuahua mix, Wilfredo, and her two cats, Barry and Margaret (named for Barry McGee and the late Margaret Kilgallen, two of her favorite artists). She works at her studio several blocks from her home.
