Stay up late and watch the galleries come alive with participatory art created for the evening by Portland State University’s MFA Art and Social Practice Concentration, led by artist Harrell Fletcher and Jen Delos Reyes. Outdoors in the Museum's sculpture court, visitors can listen to performances by local bands, watch as expert “dowsers” uncover the colors and sounds of works of art, see a printmaking demonstration at a mobile print factory, and sample art-inspired beer brewed by Laurelwood, Lompoc, and the Lucky Lab. Indoor activities include games, musicians serenading select works of art, "Learn to Count in Mon," a project to save endangered languages, and video installations from the Northwest Film Center in surprising locations. Come have a drink in the outdoor sculpture mall, dance to live music, interact with artists, and celebrate the summer with your friends!
