Course Description

Explores the work of designers and their work in every part of our lives, often invisibly. Shows how designers identify problems, engage with audiences to discover their needs, and craft appropriate solutions by exploring how design thinking strategies can be applied to real-world scenarios through collaborative, project-based experimentation, readings offering perspectives on designers and design topics, and critiques of design solutions. Prerequisites: Upper-division standing.

Design is Everywhere is a fully-online course through D2L and is part of the Design Thinking, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Junior Cluster, and is intended as an introduction to design for non-majors.
