Introducing POOL!

Posted on Apr 27th, 2020 by Kate Bingaman-Burt

POOL is a network of care that aims to meet the material, social, and creative needs of Portland’s artistic community. POOL values the role arts people will play in radically dismantling capitalism. We *also* understand that there are basic needs in our community that must be met in order for us to continue to our practices and envision a different future.
POOL is a space that encourages resource and wealth redistribution. We are attempting to create solutions with and for our peers that address deficits in food, housing, $$$, tools, materials, hygiene products, rides, and community.
POOL is intentional in its efforts — we aim to help people who are Black, Indigenous, and Brown, undocumented, non-degreed, early in their career, disabled, LGBTQIA2s+, unemployed, guardians/caretakers, and those of us who exist at the intersections.
You tell us what you need and we will help you get it.
