The office of University Marketing seeks to enhance and build the brand image of the University with key constituents and executes marketing and communications strategies that support the University's goals. 

DUTIES: 50% Conceptualize and design a wide variety of print publications (including booklets, catalogs, brochures, flyers, posters) and Web publications, using current page layout and Web authoring software tools. Create images including illustrations, photo manipulation and information graphics. 

10% Project management: Utilize Basecamp system for tracking projects. Work with service bureaus, vendors and printers. Prepare printing specifications for use in seeking competitive bids. 

15% Prepare final electronic files for print and Web publications. 

10% Participate in opportunities for professional development in design, communication theory, emerging internet communication strategies and diversity training. Team building within University Relations and Marketing. Ongoing learning about the university. 

15% Archive project files and images for image library. 

REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's or Associate degree in Graphic Arts; OR A Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a minimum of 18 quarter (12 semester) hours of graphic arts courses and one year of graphic art design production experience; OR Two years of graphic arts design productions experience. Transcript must be submitted for all required and/or related courses. 

Position may require some work in the evenings and on weekends. 

Ability to implement OSU brand identity standards, strong conceptual design skills, proven production skills and knowledge of printing processes; 

Working knowledge of design in the Web environment; 

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a creative team; 

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
