Position Summary / Overview / Description
We are seeking a Graphic Design intern who will work closely with our Events and Communications Manager to ensure successful and consistent marketing of our fundraisers, continuing education, yoga programs, and year-long #yogasavedme campaign. Specifically, this position will help to create a cohesive collateral package for one of our biggest fundraisers of the year (Yogathon), and a branding package for our #yogasavedme campaign. Additional design projects are available if there is interest (see below). Living Yoga has a collaborative and supportive staff and board dedicated to supporting this volunteer position.
Type of Employment: Internship (eligible for $250 stipend); Hours per week and length of internship will depend on the intern’s availability. Much of the work can be done remotely. Approximate due dates for each project are as follows:
#yogasavedme campaign collateral: February 15, 2018
Yogathon collateral: March 1, 2018
**Additional Project: Annual Gala collateral (due approximately May 15th)
**Additional Project: Continuing Ed. and Trauma-Informed Program flyer templates (flexible due date)
**Additional Project: Systems-Change Workshop Powerpoint layout and design (flexible due date)
Professionally conceptualize and design collateral for Living Yoga’s annual Yogathon including an event logo and branding, save the date postcard, sponsor board, signage and social media assets.
Work closely with the Events and Communications Manager to develop a branding package for the #yogasavedme campaign.
Utilized the #yogasavedme branding package to create consistent social media collateral (Facebook banner, social media overlays, etc.) to be used by Living Yoga staff throughout the year-long campaign.
Additional similar projects are available if there is interest.
Knowledge and Abilities Required:
Principles and practices of graphic design, layout, and marketing.
Professional graphic design techniques and software for print and web applications.
Social media, web design exposure, and familiarity with Squarespace.
Desire to gain experience with a nonprofit organization and an appreciation for the healing benefits of yoga.
