RECESS Summer Internship Program 2012
RECESS is an independent arts center located in the SE industrial district of Portland dedicated to nurturing emergent, experimental, contemporary practices. RECESS aims to foster new forms of cultural inquiry and spark a discourse of change within both the art community and its wider context. For the past two years, RECESS has supported fresh ideas and perspectives from underrepresented artists, bringing them to light for the local arts community. As well as an exhibition space, RECESS also maintains an active community by renting out studios to local artists and hosting cutting edge music events.
