Visible is a local non-profit started by The Beauty Shop design studio in November 2016. Visible provides creative work free of charge to organizations fighting for social, environmental and civil rights causes.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to take our online presence (IG, Twitter, FB – but mostly IG) to the next level. Our goal is to raise awareness of what we do, recruit new members, promote open projects, document local events, engage with and promote our community and allies, and inspire the creative community to keep resisting. We’ve been doing our best but know that there is a talented designer out there who has the time and social media know-how to do it even better.
This is an unpaid opportunity (we’re all unpaid) but the in-house hours are great (just stop by our studio for about an hour a week to brainstorm post ideas with our team for the following week). You’ll be considered an official member of the internal Visible team and listed as such on our website, and your work will have a direct impact in helping make sure that underserved and underrepresented communities have access to high quality creative work.
