The Vanguard, Portland State’s weekly, student-run newspaper, is now hiring a Production Manager to begin summer term. This is a great opportunity to work in a journalism environment with page layouts, InDesign and illustrations on a daily basis.
Other duties include managing a team of designers and illustrators, as well as working with writers, photographers and editors under real-life restrictions within an existing brand. Hours vary, but run up to 40 per week. The Production Manager position is paid on the ELSA model, and scheduling is flexible and can work around your school schedule.
Applicants must be PSU students, take at least 6 credits per term, and are preferably members of the graphic design program with an interest and knowledge of Adobe programs like InDesign.
This position will officially start prior to summer term.
Any inquiries can be directed to the Vanguard’s Editor-in-Chief, Turner Lobey, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
