The Production Designer for the Auxiliary Services Division supports the creative efforts of the department and assists the Communication & Design specialist in completion of graphic and web design projects. This position has the responsibility of assisting with developing and maintaining the graphic and web design presence of the Auxiliary Services Division.
Auxiliary Services comprises Transportation and Parking Services, Conferences and Events, Food Service, Smith Memorial Student Union, Retail Services, University Place Hotel, University Housing, Property Management, Accounting Services and Auxiliary Maintenance. Our 100 staff members and 125 student employees and graduate assistants provide critical self-supporting services to the university. We do not use tuition or tax dollars to support our programs, but generate funds that support instruction and other primary Portland State programs.
Essential Functions:
Under direct supervision of the Design & Communications Specialist and Marketing & Communications Coordinators, utilize Adobe creative suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, and Acrobat) in the creation of graphics and designs to be used in the development of all marketing materials; Implement revisions to match client or Design & Communication Specialist
