Operations & Personnel Officer

The position provides technical and administrative support to the functions of the office of the dean: budget, operations, development and academic. The position also staffs the front desk of the office.

Provides front office reception duties with high degree of professionalism and customer service. Responds to a wide-variety of student, donor and public /community inquiries in person, on the phone and via email. Generate Word, Excel and Google documents. Provide graphic design support. Process correspondences to donors and students. Maintain/update FPA’s main website as assigned. Assist in production and distribution of quarterly events calendar. Support FPA planning and execution of events (invitation, signage, RSVP, name tags, staffing) and post-event tasks. Clerical tasks include filing, campus errands, mail sorting, photocopying, ordering supplies, inputting invoices.

Requirements/Skills:

Must have excellent computer skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, InDesign, basic HTML and other web management platforms such as Drupal and phot0-editing. Graphic design skills/experience a plus. Database experience a plus. Must be able to maintain confidentiality as it relates to all areas of operation with a priority on protecting the privacy of students and donors. Must be able to multi-task and thrive in a busy environment while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and use those skills to provide excellent customer service to our many visitors/contacts. MUST maintain a reliable work schedule to ensure consistent front office coverage.

Work schedule – maximum 20 hours/week – for the Fall term is M-TH 8:00am-12:30pm and Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
