Multimedia Intern/Volunteer

Lift Urban Portland aims to reduce hunger and improve the lives of low-income residents of northwest and downtown Portland. We collect and distribute food, provide educational programs that encourage healthy life choices, and build community programs that strengthen social connections. Each year we hold a fundraiser at the end of August. We are looking for a student or alum who can help us create a multimedia piece showcasing the stories of the people served by Lift Urban Portland for our annual fundraiser at the end of August. Last year’s piece was a combination of audio recordings, photography set to a slideshow type of video, that was presented at the fundraiser. We are open to a creative mind and talent, and new ideas. This is an unpaid opportunity. The ideal candidate would be someone who is interested in food security and has experience creating impactful videos and other pieces of multimedia. A great opportunity for someone who is looking to build their resume and reference base. Other qualifications would include:
-Experience with audio/video editing
-Interest in food security and other issues affecting those living in poverty
-A compelling storyteller
-Experience with or a desire to gain more experience working with diverse populations
-Positive attitude and good work ethic
