KPSU Multimedia Director

($1,900 per-term stipend)
10-20 hours per week

Multimedia Director is responsible for the visual aspects of KPSU as well as managing KPSU social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). This includes creating media such as posters for upcoming events, graphics for the website, banners, t-shirt, merchandise, custom graphics etc. The Multimedia Director will work closely with the Promotions Director to create graphics for various web and print outlets, coordinate promotion on social media platforms, and send press releases to local news outlets, and manage the majority of KPSU’s outward-facing communication.

Major Responsibilities:
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite CS5+ recommended
Understand basic design concepts
Conceptualize design campaigns especially with the annual Pledge Drive
Develop and design materials for print and web for various events
Use photographs thoughtfully and appropriately in design concepts
Practice proper file management/formatting and have high standard for organization
Properly format files for output to print vendors
Knowledge of digital photo editing and processing for print and web
Coordinate social media coverage (facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube)
Work closely with the Promotions Director and FedEx
Hold and adhere to regularly scheduled office hours
Attend weekly staff meetings

Minimum Requirements:
PSU student (must take 6 credits undergrad, 5 credits graduate 3 out of 4 terms)
Minimum GPA (2.5 undergrad, 3.0 graduate)
Attend Media Fellows Leadership sessions (3 per term)
Art & Design student a plus, but not required
Excellent communication skills
