Uncorked Studios Design Intern
Uncorked Studios is seeking a design intern with a strong understanding of interaction principles and user-focused strategy. Designer will report to the Creative Director and will be an integral part of a growing team focused on product design and development. Uncorked Designers must be skilled at bringing projects to life, from concept to post-launch support. This process includes everything from conceptual sketches that support specific use-cases to visual design explorations that translate into production ready assets. Candidates must understand the details required for mobile production including: Device-specific graphic preparation (Retina, standard iOS, Android, WinPhone devices), naming conventions, working within fluid development cycles and visual QA. Designers must work within technical and practical constraints without sacrificing creative vision.
Candidates will also play an integral role in proposal process. While this varies depending on client or project, most proposals require shaping overall approach, visuals that support that approach, writing support information when applicable and proofreading the resulting documents. To be clear, this is not a copywriting position, though thoughtful writing is a small portion of the position.
