SUMMARY:

The Graphic & Web Designer position will create and push design within the Dave’s Killer Bread (DKB) and Cobblestone Bread Co. (CBC) brands. The Graphic Designer will leverage their eye for detail, illustrative skills, web and photographic design skills to produce a wide array of marketing materials for the DKB and CBC brands including, but not limited to, packaging/product design, displays, point of sale materials, website design, coupons, social media, photo/video content for social/web, support of company promotions, event communication, sales channel and operations. This role will serve as the internal design hub for the brand and the guiding force of how Dave’s Killer Bread and Cobblestone Bread Co. communicates their brands visually in the marketplace. This role will interact primarily with the brand marketing teams, but be able to work with different business functions and stakeholders within the organization to deliver design materials that build consumer affinity. Projects are diverse, high-pressure, and often have a quick-turnaround.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Responsible for originating, designing and executing all graphic design of DKB and CBC collateral as directed by the brand marketing teams including, but not limited to:

·Manage all packaging artwork including major packaging refreshes and all new products.

·Create all in-store support, such as cardboard displays, large floor graphics, shelf blade advertisements, channel strips, and stickers

·Shoot and edit professional videos for social media, trade shows and events, and company-wide training

·Creation of truck-wrap graphics and large-format signs for multiple bakeries

·Assist our national sales team with sales sheets, sample signs, new product announcements, and more

·Maintain brand identity and visual aesthetics as captured within the brand’s graphic design standards and brand positioning.

·Create and maintain the various digital properties, ranging from websites to newsletters to social platforms to digital campaigns that help build brand fan engagement.

·Create and track coupon, UPC, and QR codes.

·Work with various print suppliers to ensure final product is made to our specifications, ensuring quality control during print production checks.

·Ability to iterate designs with stakeholders across multiple departments when needed.

·Ability to work effectively with vendors and agencies.

·Create and maintain print production archive (set up files, file archiving, etc.)

·Be a brand ambassador for the organization.

·Assist the brand marketing team in light copywriting projects.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

·Extensive operating knowledge and proficiency of Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom (photography)

·Extensive operating knowledge and proficiency of Final Cut Pro X (videography), Squarespace (website)

·Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

·Strong attention to detail.

·Strong technical and creative problem solving skills.

·Ability to multi-task, switching from one project to another as required.

·Trained in use of professional camera equipment.

·Excellent time management skills. You are able to prioritize, effectively communicate status and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

·Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·A positive “can do” attitude is a must. You must have the ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.

·You have a design portfolio that demonstrates a creative eye and strong design skills.

·You are team oriented – we are a “small but mighty” collaborative marketing team.

·You aren’t afraid to flex your creative and copywriting skills when necessary.

·Passion for working for a values based organization.

·Some knowledge preferred (but not required): HTML and CSS (custom coding website), JavaScript, Flash, PHP.

·Minimum 2+ years of professional experience as a graphic designer preferred.

·Photography experience preferred.

·Typography knowledge.

·Food industry experience preferred, but not required.

DESIRED EDUCATION:

·Bachelors degree in Graphic Arts degree preferred. Digital Portfolio required.
