Opportunity

Graphic Designer / Layout Designer

Endurance Evolution is an endurance lifestyle company that organizes running races and triathlons. We originally started in Michigan and have recently expanded to Oregon. We’re looking for a designer to help us create a cohesive set of print and digital materials for each of our four 2015 events. Each event already has its own identity and logo, and we’re looking for someone to create fresh, updated materials for the 2015 editions. All items for a given event should have a similar graphic identity or theme (take a look at the samples at the link here: http://bit.ly/EEdesign-samples).

The items listed below are our expected needs, however, additional items may be added, or some items removed, as needed along the way.

Each of the FOUR events will include:
 Digital Athlete Guide (PDF document with all pertinent race information)
 11×17 Event Poster (for print)
 4.25×11 Registration flier (for print)
 Racer bib number (for print)
 Participant T-shirt design (for screen printing)
 Age group award pint glass (for screen printing on glass)

Required Qualifications
– Design experience and design software familiarity (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
– Ability to work independently in a flexible environment and communicate in timely manner
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Knowledge of the latest design trends and ability to apply them to these projects

Additional Preferred Skills
– Experience as a participant in running, cycling, or triathlon events
– Experience with Basecamp project management platform.
– Experience with Mac platform

Hours and Compensation
We offer a modest stipend of $150 for each of the four projects (total of $600 for all four). We estimate that each project will take between 20-25 hours, depending on skill/experience. All work may be done on your own desired work schedule, wherever you choose, but some communications will be needed during normal business hours (M-F, 9a-5p). The bulk of the design work will happen throughout January-April, while a smaller amount of design and layout will happen April-September. We would consider an applicant that is only available for the January-April period, but would prefer someone available the full term.
