Summary:
The part-time Intern will work as a member of the Corporate Communications team. The Corporate Communications team is a business partner to all Con-way business units and corporate departments, providing strategic communication counsel and creative services in support of the company’s business objectives.
Essential Functions:
As an Intern, the individual will assist the Corporate Communications team with:
Creating digital style guide comparison boards
Providing graphic design production support (e.g., newsletters, posters, Web banners, etc.)
Managing digital asset library (i.e., sort, set in order, shine, standardize and sustain)
Retouching/color correcting images, as needed
Assisting with photography and videography requests
Assisting with photo/asset searches and developing contact sheets
Identifying licensing agreements for assets in library

Scope and Accountability:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college/university preferably in graphic design or related field.
Basic understanding of design, layout, hierarchy, color theory and typography.
Some experience with photography, videography, photo manipulation/restoration and/or video/audio editing.
Fundamental knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (e.g., In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Strong Microsoft Office skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
Effective business writing, editing skills and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to collect and analyze information relevant to completing a task.
Project management skills; time management and the ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads.

Employee may occasionally be required to travel to meetings or other engagements by automobile; if the employee drives a car in these instances, the employee must have all capabilities needed to do so safely.
The duties of the job are primarily performed in an office environment. There is some exposure to noise in the work environment, which is usually mild to moderate.
