Street Roots, an award-winning, nonprofit advocacy newspaper in Portland, is looking for graphic artists create a series of ads on themes of social and economic justice for the back page of the newspaper. (For example, the city’s shortage of housing for low-income families.) Street Roots will be going weekly in December and will need a piece of artwork for each, or nearly each, edition of the paper. This is a project multiple people will be involved with. This opportunity does not require that one person commit to every paper, but designers would ideally create several images on a theme. This position is not paid, but depending on the work, could lead to paid services.
