Graphic Design Student Intern

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization! The Association for Health Science Colleges and Universities (AHSCU) is seeking a graphic design intern to assist in the development of graphic design of website and marketing materials in order to raise awareness of the AHSCU vision. AHSCU’s mission is to foster collaboration among diverse health sciences education institutions and professions that will lead to improved quality and efficiency in and access to health sciences education and patient care. We hope that through our collaborative work and innovative educational models, health care will become more lifestyle and prevention based, chronic disease will be more effectively managed, health care costs will decrease and access will increase. We are in need of graphic design assistance in order to build our brand and image to include website graphic design, updated logo, and collateral material such as document template(s), business cards and a brand guide. We are seeking a talented and hard working intern to help us develop these materials and it is our hope that you are in turn able to build your professional portfolio and make contacts that lead to professional paid work in the future.

Duration: 3 months

Hours: 5-10 hours per week performed remotely. Schedule based on intern’s availability. Intern must have a computer and preferably Adobe Creative Suite (not required).

Compensation: Internship is a volunteer position and is not compensated, a small stipend may become available. Intern may be eligible for college credits.

About the Association for Health Science Colleges and Universities (AHSCU): The Association of Health Sciences Colleges and Universities (AHSCU) is an emerging assembly of colleges and universities that is committed to inter-professional collaboration in the health sciences. Its aspirations include discovering and facilitating:
• Operational efficiencies among health sciences institutions through selective resource sharing.
• Improvements in integrative health sciences education methodologies and outcomes.
• Optimal compatibility of health sciences education and scope of practice.
AHSCU is an Illinois not-for-profit, membership corporation established in 2012 in accordance with section 501(c)6 of the 1986 Internal Revenue Service Code. The President and one member institution reside in Oregon. AHSCU’s Institutional Members are accredited institutions of higher education. Its Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from its Institutional Members. It is organized into three functional sections (operational efficiency, integrative education and practice optimization) consistent with its mission and aspirations. Each of the three sections operate by policies approved by the Board of Directors that determine their unique membership, resources and activities.
