Graphic Design Internship
2014 – 2015
For more than 20 years, Ecotrust (www.ecotrust.org) has converted $80 million in grants into more than $500 million in capital for local people, businesses, and organizations from Alaska to California. Ecotrust’s many innovations include co-founding the world’s first environmental bank, starting the world’s first ecosystem investment fund, creating a range of programs in fisheries, forestry, food, farms and indigenous affairs, and developing new scientific and information tools to improve social, economic and environmental decision-making. Ecotrust works locally in ways that promise hope abroad, and it honors and supports the wisdom of Native and First Nation leadership in its work.
We are looking for talented graphic design students who are as interested in ideas as they are in images. Ecotrust offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of meaningful projects – from our new experimental online publication Commonplace to our long-standing print publication Edible Portland, special event posters, websites, apps, identity projects, installations, presentations, infographics, maps and more. This is an internship where we take your growth as a designer and thinker seriously and expect you to do the same.

• Excited and engaged with visual culture
• Able to work well independently and in a support role
• Great communication skills and flexible work style
