The PSU Vanguard has been reporting on news relevant to the university, the country, and the world since it’s inception in 1946. We’ve just gone under an exciting redesign, switching from a traditional broadsheet to a weekly tabloid style paper, and are looking to hire a few new designers to help breathe new life into the Vanguard.
What we’re looking for:
~ A mastery of Adobe CS
~ Able to work in Adobe InDesign without pulling your hair out
~ Ability to work in a team environment
~ Works well under pressure and able to hit tight deadlines
~ Responsible and punctual
~ Ability to communicate with non-design newsroom staff to troubleshoot design problems
Work 2 days a week, flexible to your school schedule, approx. 4 hours a day. Pay is $80 a week. Multiple positions are available. To apply contact Sean Bucknam at sbucknam@pdx.edu.
