Designer

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and produce creative deliverables and tools for integrated advertising and marketing campaigns, printed and electronic collateral, templates, print and outdoor advertising, and events. • Develop and upload sales/marketing tool templates that fulfill multiple client needs and support the bank’s or business unit’s established brand standards. • Create print-ready files at the highest level of accuracy to ensure on-brand production; provide QA on press checks as needed. • Leverage visual communication strategies and critical thinking to develop tools that meet marketing and communications objectives in smart, unexpected ways. • Integrate creativity into customer touchpoints despite competing priorities and timelines; proactively communicate status and seek input on projects and deliverables. • Actively seek out fresh ideas, insights and inspiration to fuel creative or campaign brainstorm sessions. • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. • Keeps up to date on regulation changes. • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual required or job-specific training. • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in design or fine arts preferred. • 1-3 years of design experience. • Agency experience preferred. • Knowledge of Adobe CS programs including InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop and Acrobat. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. • Well-rounded portfolio that demonstrates an eye for detail, strong pre-press and color knowledge, solid design and typography skills and problem solving. • Ability to lead a project from conception to completion independently. • Highly organized, adaptable to changes and able to reprioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing creative environment. • Ability to work in teams and independently effectively.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS Work involves sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Requires close visual acuity. Normal office environment.
