Responsibilities:
Designs book mechanicals
Designs bound galleys and routes them to other departments for approval.
Makes changes to mechanicals after reprint requests.
Routes creative digital workflow catalog tasks.
Uploads covers to the digital asset management system.
Provides general assistance to the art department.
Assists with designing covers as needed.
Requirements:
Book cover design experience strongly preferred
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Must be creative, adaptable, and have a strong work-ethic
Ability to prioritize and perform under pressure
Strong Mac skills and design skills using Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to work effectively in a team setting
College degree or equivalent work experience; BFA in design preferred
Drawing skills a plus
