Last year, The Portland Advertising Federation made a significant gift to the Portland State University Advertising Program, to be used for scholarships for advertising majors and minors until the funds are depleted. This year, the School of Business is offering a $1500 scholarship for a Graphic Design or Communication major who is pursuing a minor in advertising.
But hurry, the deadline to apply is Friday, February 1. To apply go to http://www.pdx.edu/sba/sba-scholarships to fill out the application through the ScholarX system. Disregard the information that says you must be a business major, but indicate as your ”second area of interest” advertising…that will put you into consideration for the scholarship.
