Typography Brand Identities Collaboration + Community Editorial Design Surface Design

Walton's a professional cyclist turned designer. He reflects on design by questioning the tools and processes we currently use. He has a deep interest in materials and doesn't let his design methods dictate the outcome of his work. Walton is pursuing brand identity, user interface, and editorial design with the aim of engaging people and enhancing their experiences. His illustrator files are like an iceberg, 1,000 iterative artboards for each finished design :—)

  • SHOW & TELL POSTER SERIES
For one term at PSU I curated speakers, planned, promoted, emceed, and ran events for Show & Tell, a graphic design lecture series. Since then I have continued to create the promo materials for these talks.

  • WOW! EVENT COLLATERAL
WOW! (Way Out of This World) is an event series based around the celestial events that occur above all of us. I created a brand that highlights the impressive nature of this astrological phenomenon, then I applied it to a marketing campaign which included a book, ad campaign, and an app.

  • COUNTER CULTURE EVENT BRANDING
For Counter Culture, a typographic club that hosts regular events, Leah Maldonado and I created an event identity that is shareable, relatable and inline with Counter Culture's ethos. We created an event identity entirely of internet memes.

  • PLUNGE APP
Plunge is an app that's all about stepping out of your comfort zone. The UI has been designed to be clear and to embrace the energy of being spontaneous.
