Join PSUGD as we host a screening of Sign Painters: The Movie! on Tuesday, October 25th at 6 pm at a sure-to-be very cool location that has yet to be confirmed, but trust it’s gonna be good, so save the dang date.
Directly after the screening, Associate Professor Briar Levit will be moderating a panel featuring a few local sign painters including Bryan Yonki from Well Done Signs, Nick and Melvin Lee a father-son team from Studio Sign Co that’s been serving Portland since 1970 and artist, maker and sign painter Kirsten Bauer . Come out and listen and learn from these fantastic sign painting artists!
The Matthias Kemeny Design Lecture Series is coordinated and managed by the Portland State Graphic Design program. This series brings internationally celebrated design professionals annually to Portland to give a lecture for the benefit of the students and faculty in the Graphic Design program, as well as the broader design community. This series is free and open to the public and highlights a wide range of design practices in an attempt to facilitate a community-wide dialogue about design and related fields. The series has been made possible by the Matthias D. Kemeny Charitable Fund of the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation.
