Getting Off the Grid: a design journey off the beaten path from someone who never learned to use a grid.

Language, inquiry and side door sensibility meet a flair for adventure in a post-2008 creative economy to forge an adaptive, adaptogenic aesthetic “career.”

Wow! I’m loving that title =^) We are pleased to have Paul Wagenblast as our second Show & Tell speaker of Fall Term!

Paul Wagenblast studied design and theory at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon, where he received a BFA in Communication Design. His interest in branding comes from a belief that seeing the world become a more beautiful place is possible through design intervention at the intersection of public and commercial levels. Working with small businesses and creative people to give them a stronger voice through design is a way to  empower our independent economies and help them communicate their vision to a growing audience. In addition to design, he also writes about art, culture and fashion for international audiences.
