Let’s welcome Jenn Maer and Mark Del Lima from IDEO in San Francisco to the Show & Tell stage this Thursday at noon!

IDEO (pronounced “eye-dee-oh”) is an award-winning global design firm that takes a human-centered, design-based approach to helping organizations in the public and private sectors innovate and grow.

Jenn Maer joined IDEO with over 10 years of ad agency creative experience, and now leads brand-focused projects for clients as diverse as Campbell’s, Marriott, and The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. She combines a passion for language with an obsession for pop culture, and firmly believes the best ideas come to life during long walks or hot showers. When she’s not writing or strategizing, Jenn fronts IDEO’s all-employee rock band, which is, rather unfortunately, named “Fishlocker.” (She swears she didn’t name the band.)

Mark Del Lima is an interaction designer at IDEO specializing in visual storytelling and interactive narratives. In the last 15 years, he has designed for nearly every medium including film, animation, user interface, web, mobile, games, and site-specific installations. In 2004 he co-authored a book on Flash as part of the Show Me Flash series. Drawing from a Fine Arts background and an expertise in graphic creation, his hands-on approach to visual storytelling and interface expression continue to be the major focus of his work.

He is also a co-founder (with H.P. Mendoza) of Ersatz Film, an independent digital film production collective and a medium for a variety of feature film and ethnographic projects, including Fruit Fly (2010) and I Am A Ghost (2013)
