Kelsey designs environments for participation. Her early work in Italy and Spain spanned product, furniture, exhibition, public installations and event design before shifting focus towards recent work developing interactive environments for Southbank Centre, a visual and performing arts centre in London. She holds a BA Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MA with distinction in Creative Practice for Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.

Kelsey has also developed research work on participatory design, in collaboration with Melissa. The results have been presented notably at the Royal College of Art in London, the Banff New Media Institute and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona, as workshops and conferences, and led to the creation of Good Participation.

She has been a visiting lecturer and leading workshops at the University of the Arts London, and Istituto Europeo di Design, Barcelona since 2006.
