Posted on Jun 1st, 2020 by Kate Bingaman-Burt

Sophomores! The 2020 Sophomore Portfolio Review will open for submissions TOMORROW: June 1st at 9am PDT.

As you’re refining your work and getting feedback from mentors and teachers, here are a few more things to know to help you get ready!

Once the time comes, head over to psu.gd/spr when you’re ready to submit (you may have to refresh the page to see the link to the submission form). Please be patient and leave lots of time to complete your submission—the site will likely be under heavy load if we receive many submissions at once.

Remember, submissions close June 8th at 5pm PDT.
DO NOT wait until the last minute: late submissions cannot be accepted.

Posted on May 25th, 2020 by Kate Bingaman-Burt

Sophomores! The 2020 Sophomore Portfolio Review will open for submissions soon. As you’re refining your work and getting feedback from mentors and teachers, here are a few more things to know to help you get ready!

  • Register for the Review now if you haven’t already! It’s a hugely important first step you can do today that lets us know you’re planning to submit a portfolio! You don’t need anything ready but your name and your student ID.
  • Look over the guidelines and rubric! The info session slide deck and handbook are the go-to places for what you need to include in your portfolio itself and in your submission.
  • Know how to prep your files! We’ll need three PDFs when submissions open. Our Sophomore Portfolio Review website has info on how to set up each one!
  • Submissions for the 2020 Sophomore Portfolio Review open Monday, June 1st at 9am and close promptly on June 8th at 5pm. No late submissions will be accepted.

Sophomore Portfolio Review UPDATE

Posted on Apr 20th, 2020 by Kate Bingaman-Burt

Sophomores: wondering what’s changed with the Sophomore Portfolio Review since we moved to remote learning? The answer: not much!

What is changing? We’re no longer collecting an envelope from you in person, but are still requiring that you turn the a copy of your multi-spread project demonstrating type detail—except now, it’ll in the form of a PDF exported as spreads that you’ll upload with the rest of your digital files as part of the online submission process.

No other deadlines have changed (except that you don’t have to submit anything in person now), and the process is simpler than ever before with all drop-offs being moved to one online form!

An updated version of the 2020 handbook and info session slide deck is available now on psu.gd/sophomore-portfolio-review with more details!
