ART225 Communication Design Studio II
The theme for this course is communication design systems, specifically relating to branding and data visualization. Developing strong conceptual solutions and thoughtful communication while addressing formal design issues is key. Emphasis is placed on the expansion of a strong individual design process and a personal visual language. Projects focus on further development of individual working processes and idea generation. Theoretical approaches, critical readings, group and individual critiques, and written assignments support visual design exploration.
Prerequisites: Art 115, 100, 118, 224. Open to non-majors who have prerequisites and consent of the instructor.
