Tuesdays and Thursdays
This course explores the cross-disciplinary connections between graphic design and socially engaged art. Both disciplines are collaborative and place emphasis on audience/user experience. Topics covered include public intervention, site-specific interaction, and participatory modes of production—from print to web. Building from short exercises to more complex assignments, this course equips students to conceptualize, problem solve, and implement socially conscious art/design projects. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively to execute projects.
