Laura Mock

I am a graphic designer focused on print design with a passion for typography. There is value in the tactile quality of printed materials, and I want to help create meaningful printed documents and stories. With dual degrees—graphic design from Portland State and marketing from Gonzaga—I approach design projects with consumer-focused thinking.

  • Bundt Cake Cookbook
A Bundt cake cookbook divided into sections according to the four seasons, based on seasonal ingredients. Colorful photography paired with character-filled brush lettering was chosen to appeal to a trend-aware market.

  • Art&Culture Magazine
A quarterly magazine focused on current art, culture, and literature in New York City. Ample white space and a limited color palette visually unify these subjects throughout the magazine.

  • Sewing Machine History Timeline
An accordion booklet that shows the timeline of events leading up to the invention of the home sewing machine. This is designed to be a souvenir or gift available for purchase at The Oregon Historical Society’s shop in connection with a sewing machine exhibit.

  • Broadway PDX Redesign
Broadway PDX is the Portland, Oregon segment of Broadway Across America. This project includes a booklet of events for the 2015 season and a promotional poster series. Bold type, a clean layout, and striking poster photographs were chosen to appeal to a younger crowd and draw new customers to live theater.
